Working in the Factory a Real Change from My Office Job

Since taking on my new picking job in the local furniture depot factory, I've really noticed the difference between office work and factory work. For a start, I need to wear clothing that actually helps protect me - safety boots, relfective jacket, gloves. In my office job, I had to wear a shirt and tie which did NOTHING to help me do my job, but was just part of the dress code protocol. Secondly, I go home feeling very refreshed because I'm physically doing things all day long. In my previous job, I was exhausted at the end of each day. All that's rather counter-intuitive as you'd think the opposite would be the case but I put it down to fitness - the factory job really keeps me in shape. Finally I feel that I get on better with my fellow workers in the factory and there's less petty disputes there.
