The Hula Hoop: the Most Economical and Fun Toy Ever Invented

Growing up in the seventies my mom bought us all kinds of basic toys - from wooden toys to board games, and also hula hoops to play with during the summer. It was the best thing she ever did, and looking back I now realized that it was a great economic decision for her too since we did not have a lot of money. This toy was one of the more economical toys available then. It enabled us kids to really work up a sweat and to have fun at the same time. My friends and I really loved the hoop we were skilled at spinning it around our necks, waists, arms, foot and any where we could control. We would skip with it and at times we would even use more than one hoop, if we could handle it. The hula hoop provides such a great work out that a lot of people still own hoops and have incorporated it in their exercise routines.
