The Arrival Of My Little Rainbow Goddess

After I found out I was pregnant, I was full of all sorts of emotions. Shock, frustration, confusion, happiness and stress. Luckily, I had the support of my wonderful family/boyfriend. The first trimester flew by fast and before I knew it, we were going in for the gender ultrasound. The baby looked good and we were told we'd be having a little girl! I celebrated by going out and buying myself some maternity lingerie - yes, I was excited! The boyfriend - not so much. I was due in August (a summer pregnancy, oh boy) and just as I was starting to get into "being pregnant," the paranoia hit. I was constantly wondering if the baby was okay and if I didn't feel her moving, the doctor got a very frantic phone call! I never got the huge belly that you think of women having when they’re pregnant. I had heartburn 24/7 and morning sickness (but only when I was brushing my teeth) up until delivery. I craved Coca Cola (soda, slushies, anything!) and Sonic grilled cheese sandwiches. The number one thing I loved about being pregnant was feeling my baby move! It’s an indescribable feeling… every time I look at my daughter, I’m still amazed that she was once inside my belly!
